It was a steam cart without a driver that could run on one refueling of coal for more than an hour. And it is the car built by Ferdinand Verbiest that is considered the beginning of the history of the car.
Nicolas Joseph Cugnot The French inventor, engineer, in 1769 built the first car with a driver - the Small Cart of Kyuno. The car was powered by a steam engine and is considered the predecessor of not only a car, but also a steam locomotive. The car was on three wooden wheels, with a small steam boiler. The tests were carried out on on the streets of Paris in 1770, Cugnot's car was too heavy to drive and crashed into a wall in what is considered the first accident involving a car in history.
